Danie Steel was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She always had a love of music and acting and begin to immerse herself in the arts from an early age. She was very involved in theatre at her high school as well as various local community theatre shows. She spent two summers at Geva Theatre's Summer Conservatory.

Danie received her B.A. in Communication and Theatre from The University at Buffalo.

Danie went on to receive her MFA in Acting from The New School for Drama

She enjoys teaching theatre and hosting her YouTube channel, "The DK Show" when she is not on stage or doing a film. Danie is also an advocate for Foster Children's Rights.
