Mary Bruce has been married to Duane Moore since September 2015. They have two children.

Attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she received a bachelor's degree in history and Spanish.

I used to play rugby in college. My roommate got me into it on a total whim but it was so much fun, and gloriously messy (kind of like covering politics). That one always seems to surprise people ... until they get to know me.

After college, I looked for any job in D.C. that would give me a taste for political reporting. I ended up writing for a trade publication covering health care legislation and the pharmaceutical industry. It was a good crash course, but I was curious to check out broadcast news.
