Danusia Samal is a London-born actress, writer and singer of Kurdish and Polish origin. She spent part of her childhood living in Turkey and Yemen. Danusia trained at as an actor at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and the Central School of Speech and Drama. Onscreen, Danusia is best known as Lady Svenska in 'The Great' (Hulu), and Ladriya in 'Ghost in the Shell'. She has also performed at prestigious UK theatres, including the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal Court, Shakespeare's Globe, and Soho Theatre, and Chichester Festival Theatre.
As a writer, Danusia's credits include Dalziel & Pascoe (ITV), Gangs of London (Sky), and Bodies (Netflix). Her play 'Out of Sorts' won the Theatre 503 International Playwriting award.
Danusia also performs regularly as a singer and songwriter.
