Jacob Lavon Mock was born in Napoleon, Ohio and raised in Morenci, Michigan. From the age of five Jake has been in love with film. He started by making how-to videos with his parent's RCA camcorder, and producing short home movies with friends and family. In 2012 he stepped into the growing Internet media world creating a YouTube channel called TheNewKids. In 2014 he made his first debut as a director with his short film "White Walls".
He attended Northwest State Community College in Archbold, Ohio to earn degrees in Internet Security and Computer programming.
He has one sister who has appeared in many of his older videos as well as served as the hair and makeup department on his first film.
