Sebastián Mrkvicka

Sebastián Mrkvička is a Dutch actor and theatre-maker born in Amsterdam to a Dutch mother and Czech father. After finishing drama school at ArtEZ University of the Arts, he built a career spanning stage and screen, from roles in Dirty Lines and A6 to Lyon to his breakout part as Ruben Pol in the acclaimed series Dertigers. On stage, he has worked with companies including Toneelgroep Oostpool, Theater Sonnevanck and Theatergroep Golden Palace, earning praise for performances described by Theaterkrant as winning audiences over with "generous and engaging" stage presence. Fluent in Dutch, English, and Czech, Mrkvička continues to move fluidly between television, film, and theatre. In 2026 he joined Theatergroep DOX as a theatre maker. In 2026 he stars in a lead role in Downtown, directed by Michiel van Erp.
