Rajdweep has been an award winning Indian Screenwriter, Lyricist, Playwright and Journalist hails from Assam, India. He has been awarded by Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan for his script 'Ishqlogy' at Cinestaan India's Storyteller's Script Contest (First Edition) in 2018. Prior to this, He was awarded with Assam State Film Award for Best Lyricist for the film 'Dooronir Nirola Poja' (2017). From Assam's mobile theatre to bollywood, Rajdweep having an exciting journey so far. For this, leading magazine of india 'India Today' has featured him as 'Young Leaders'. He was featured in this leading magazine in 31 December, 2018 issue. After working in many Assamese films, albums & plays, Rajdweep makes his Bollywood debut in the Konkona Sensharma directed film 'A death in the gunj' (2016) as lyricist. His song 'Jiri Jiri' has been widely accepted. He has been credited for writing the first full-length Assamese song in any Bollywood film. After that, he again got the opportunity to write a song for Anurag Basu directed film 'Jagga Jasoos'. He wrote the bihu song 'Lahe Lahe' for this Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif starrer film. Before that, for MTV dewarist show, he penned the widely accepted song called 'Memories' with Papon and Nucleya. His hindi songs like 'Pakhi Pakhi', 'Aao Kabhi Jo' proves his lyrical excellence. As a screen-writer, Rajdweep's first film was 'Khel-the Game' (2015) and it had been widely accepted by masses. His another film 'Rum Vodka Whisky' has been released across Assam. Rajdweep Pradip Dey, Popularly known as Rajdweep has written songs in lots of Assamese films and various albums, theatre plays. As the youngest playwright of Assam's unique mobile theatre industry, Rajdweep has written many full length plays. He has been credited for introducing new thoughts and techniques to this more than 50 years long industry. Apart from these, Rajdweep has a career in professional journalism and he is working as senior sub-editor of a vernacular daily called 'Asomiya Khabar'. In educational sphere, after did graduation in Economics from Gauhati University, Rajdweep has done Masters in Econmics and then completed his Masters in Journalism too.
