Anthony is of Italian descent. He is the great nephew of Gerardo "Jerry" Catena who was a New York mobster and ran the Genovese crime family during the 1950's and 1960's and was ranked the fourth richest mobster in the U.S. by Forbes Magazine.

Anthony started his own lawn mowing company when he was 8 years old and had a thriving lawn service with two employees by the time he was in sixth grade.

Anthony's father, Richard, trained at Skandar Akbar's professional wrestling school and wrestled for World Class Championship Wrestling at the Sportatorium in Dallas, TX in the late 1980's.

Anthony's parents met at Skadar Akbar's wrestling school at the iconic Doug's Gym in Dallas where they were both training to be professional wrestlers.

Anthony's great-grandparents were born in Sicily.

Anthony, his mother and his father have all had professional wrestling matches against WWE Hall of Fame wrestlers. His father, Richard (billed as the East Coast Destroyer) wrestled Mick Foley (billed as Cactus Jack Manson) in 1989. His mother, Laura, wrestled Jacqueline Moore in 1989. Anthony, wrestled Tony Atlas in 2014.
