Biography

As a young child, Carolyn (maiden name Spruce) was always a "performer," showing off her smarts and skills to family friends. She always dreamed of being on TV like some of her on-screen idols, but it seemed far from reach. However, her acting debut came in elementary school, when she was asked by her Julliard-trained music teacher to take over the lead role in the school's annual Christmas program. She performed in various productions throughout school, in band, choir and drill team. In high school and college, she became involved in speech and communications, earning a bachelor's degree in journalism, followed by an MBA. She has had a successful career in marketing, business and communications, and also recently became a student again in a law program. Meanwhile, she became involved with local and regional film production groups and built a successful portfolio acting in film, television and commercials -- both nationally and regionally, as well as establishing a modeling career in print and television and on the runway. She is an accomplished runner and endurance athlete, which led to fitness modeling opportunities, and her education and experience led to onscreen corporate video accolades both regionally and nationally.
