Genevieve's concert and performance experience also includes a recital tour through Oxford University in 1999. Genevieve has received several vocal awards, including the North Shore Musicians Club 2003 Scholarship, the Latetia M. Blain Boston College soloist award in 2000, and the Philadelphia Naval award for singing in 1996. Genevieve has taken many classes in crossover techniques at the Acting Studio of Chicago. She has taken Adam Belcuore's class, breaking down scenes, Film Acting 3 with Janelle Snow and various seminars. Her agent is Shirley Hamilton, in Chicago.

Genevieve is beginning a new career alongside her performance career as a playwright and screenwriter, and takes classes at Chicago Dramatists, including musical theater writing, playwriting and screenwriting. Among her work is the play Akropolis, the screenplay Demenia, a new play The Queen of Hearts and the new musical Everly Yours, moving into a workshop with Porchlight Fall of 2015!
