Amit Dhuga is a dynamic and multi-talented Actor, Director, Writer, and Producer whose creative vision and dedication to storytelling have earned him recognition in Canada’s film industry and beyond. Born and raised in North Vancouver, B.C., Amit discovered his passion for storytelling at the age of four, a calling that would shape his life and career. In 2017, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Motion Picture Arts from Capilano University, solidifying his foundation in the craft.
An award-winning filmmaker, Amit is best known for Prisoner, a gritty revenge-action film tackling the complexities of Indo-Canadian gang violence, and You’re Mine, the first South Asian slasher film to be made in North America with a grounded message of the dangers women face in society. With a strong commitment to amplifying South Asian stories in Canada, Amit brings depth, cultural richness, and authenticity to his work, ensuring underrepresented voices are heard on screen.
In 2014, Amit founded Boundless Lion Productions, a production company dedicated to telling diverse and genre-spanning stories. Through his artistry and leadership, he continues to push boundaries, foster cultural representation, and inspire the next generation of filmmakers.
