Biography

Michael J. Murphy is a Los Angeles-based director, screenwriter, and producer primarily focused on narrative storytelling within the romance, drama, and adventure genres. Over the last 8 years, he has directed an endless number of short films, commercials, and music videos that timelessly explore themes of growing up, falling in love, and finding purpose in life through uniquely character-driven stories. In late 2022, he co-founded his production company FiveTwelve Pictures along side producing partner Mark Cockfield. He's represented at 3Arts Entertainment.
