Schalk "SJ" Louw is a Namibian stunt rider, athlete, and wildlife advocate best known for his viral seal rescue videos along the Skeleton Coast. His work saving seals from entanglement has earned international recognition and made him a familiar face to millions online.
Before gaining worldwide attention for his rescues, SJ competed in motocross from 2005 to 2012, landing on the podium at numerous events. He later transitioned into the film industry as a stunt rider, contributing to the high-octane action of Mad Max: Fury Road.
Outside of rescues and riding, SJ is passionate about surfing, photography, and guiding tours across Namibia's dramatic landscapes. He shares his adventures and rescue work on social media under the handle @official_SLP_.
