Bruno Straus is an award winning filmmaker and stand-up comedian with a diverse film portfolio spanning from experimental documentaries to dramatic feature films. His directorial debut, '1 Versus 100', was celebrated at the IFS Film Festival, while his documentary 'The Quality of Life' has captivated over 400,000 viewers on YouTube with its poignant narrative. Bruno's creative versatility extends to the unconventional 'The Brother Side of the Wake' and 'The New Andy Dick Show.' The birth of his first and second child were showcased in his feature length documentary, 'Maternal Intuition', available on Tubi and Amazon. His script 'Dreams Uploaded', co-written with comedian Brent Weinbach, was honored with the Best Screenplay award at the Los Angeles International Film Festival, showcasing his adeptness at crafting comedic stories that resonate deeply with audiences. In 2023, Bruno legally changed his last name from Kohfield-Galeano to Straus, as a tribute to his grandmother Eva Straus. Eva's parents were among the last to leave Germany on the final boats available before the Holocaust. Unfortunately, seven members of Eva's family perished, while her aunt Annie Schmidt survived.
