- Stan Puzdriak is an accomplished filmmaker and the founder of Rebel Monkey, a Los Angeles-based production company focused on cinematic storytelling across narrative films, documentaries, and commercial productions.
His directorial debut, Immigraniada, explored the challenges of Ukrainian immigration and was screened in over 10 countries. He later directed the feature documentary Tale of the American Dream, which was highlighted by Frame.io for its bold creative vision and dedication to telling immigrant stories during a global crisis.
In 2022, he released Defender of Mariupol, a documentary chronicling Ukraine’s war efforts, which premiered at the Culver City Film Festival in Los Angeles and received critical acclaim.
In 2023, Stan shifted his focus toward horror, suspense, and video game-inspired storytelling. He directed Unfinished Chapter, a psychological thriller inspired by the Alan Wake universe. The film gained significant online attention and was shared and praised by both fans and members of the Remedy community, including Sam Lake, creator of Max Payne and Alan Wake.
His recent projects include Memory Card, a retro-inspired psychological thriller that received multiple festival awards, as well as a Silent Hill tribute project that was widely praised by horror gaming communities online.
Now based in Los Angeles, Stan continues to focus on narrative and documentary filmmaking, creating visually driven stories that blend psychological tension, atmosphere, and emotional realism. His latest project, Follow Me Home, is an original atmospheric horror proof-of-concept planned for release in 2026.
