Born in Dayton, Ohio to Marcella and Scott, Nicole Sell is a filmmaker, author, and storyteller with a passion for character-driven narratives that explore resilience, trauma, and human connection. Attended New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, Nicole began her directing career filming her first project on the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot.
Since then, she has continued to build a versatile body of work spanning short films, screenwriting, and critical media commentary. Her first book, The Haunted Investigator, was published in 2012, blending personal storytelling with her love for the supernatural. She has also established a strong online presence reviewing comic books and pop culture through YouTube and digital media platforms.
Nicole is best known for her award-winning short film Survivor (also known as From Ashes), and she continues to pursue bold, emotionally resonant projects through her production company. She is currently developing Echoes from the Veil, a feature film exploring grief, family, and the unseen forces that shape our lives.
She brings a deeply personal perspective to her work and remains committed to telling stories that empower and inspire.
