- Alexis Georgopoulos is a producer, composer, recording artist & sound designer, producing sound for records, films and gallery projects. He often releases music under the alias, Arp. A frequent collaborator across media, he continues to work with a growing cast of visionary filmmakers, visual artists, and choreographers - among them Savanah Leaf, Frank LeBon, Tauba Auerbach, Paul Clipson, and Jonah Bokaer, as well as with musicians such composer Meara O'Reilly, techno producer Patricia and ambient producer Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. He has also accepted commissions from fashion houses such as Bottega Veneta, Dior, Chanel, Lanvin, Kenzo, and others.
Of his debut album, "In Light," Pitchfork wrote it was "the sort of thing I hope becomes a trend in electronic music." His 2018 album "Zebra," was named by The Guardian as the "N°2 Contemporary Album of the Year" and by The Vinyl Factory's as a "Top 50 Albums of the Year." His recordings have been released by labels such as RVNG Intl, Smalltown Supersound, Mexican Summer, Type, Modern Obscure Music, Beats in Space, Emotional Rescue, Geographic North, and Opal Tapes. He has performed internationally and has been presented in gallery and museum contexts by MoMA PS1, Goethe-Institut, Deitch Projects, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), Walker Art Center, The Kitchen, MoMA, New Museum, White Columns, 303 Gallery, Jacob's Pillow, SFMoMA, Luggage Store Gallery, and Jack Hanley Gallery.
