Biography

Alexandra Campos was born in New York City and raised all throughout Manhattan. She began acting officially in the 5th grade when she was cast in a production of West Side Story that unfortunately never made it to the stage, but if you include her at home Selena concerts she was putting on, she really started performing at the age 3.

After attending The Beacon School on Manhattan's Upper West Side, Alex was accepted to the theatre program at The Pennsylvania State University (University Park). After only one year, Alex made the decision to leave Penn State and come back to NYC. Between 2009 and 2012 Alex was a production assistant on films, sold men's underwear at Macy's, backpacked through Europe with 50 random strangers and then made the decision to go back to school.

Alex completed the two year acting program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC and post graduation, she started 2 Brown Girls Productions with classmate, Andrea Edgerson and began creating content that reflected the worlds they came from as two women of color in NYC.

It's been many years since her Selena concerts but Alex is still focused on creating art that is connected to her culture. As a Caribbean- American woman, Alex favors work that showcases the richness and intricacies of her culture and people.
