Biography

Yngvild Sæter is a Norwegian sculptor, artist and actress. Educated at Valand Academy, Gothenburg, Sweden, where she received her master's degree in 2014. In addition to Valand, she has studied social and cultural anthropology, as well as political science. Her sculptures are constructed from motorcycle parts, metal pieces, chains and fur. These deeply personal works draw on the artist's involvement in the punk and straight edge movements and a near-death experience during surgery a couple of years ago. In addition to a large number of solo exhibitions, Yngvild Sæter has participated in a number of feature films and TV-productions.
