Biography

  • Fraser Precious is an award-winning producer, director, writer, actor, and musician from England.

Originally trained as a classical trumpet player, Fraser earned a music scholarship to Sedbergh School at the age of 11 and achieved university level music diplomas as a teenager. He later moved to Australia on a scholarship to study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2008, where he completed a Bachelor of Music degree and performed professionally, including appearances at the Sydney Opera House and performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Following a successful career in music and education, Fraser transitioned into film, firstly through acting. After moving to Los Angeles on a scholarship to the New York Film Academy in 2014, he secured leading roles in a range of independent feature films, television projects and commercials while developing his own filmmaking career.

Fraser went on to write, produce, direct and star in the short film "A Precious Life", based on his own experiences as a classical musician in Australia, struggling with mental health issues and homelessness. In 2018, A Precious Life premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and received multiple awards around the festival circuit, including Best Short Film, Best Actor and Best Screenplay.

In 2019, Fraser produced, wrote and starred in the feature film "Indulgence" before making his directorial feature debut with "Safeguard", a bilingual Japanese inspired action thriller. Both films secured international distribution on major platforms around the world.

Fraser continues to develop and produce feature films and television projects through his production company Precious Life Films, with a focus on commercially driven stories that combine international appeal with strong emotional themes.
