Jareen Imam

Jareen Imam is an American media producer and reporter. She is the Director of Social Newsgathering at NBC News. She leads an award-winning, global team of journalists who find, verify and report on stories. Prior to joining NBC, Imam was the Head of Social at CBS News, leading a team of producers who created videos, wrote articles and programmed content across digital platforms. Before moving to New York, Imam was a producer for CNN for six years. In 2011, Imam was part of CNN's Arab Spring coverage, which lead to a Peabody award for the network. In 2018, her NBC team was nominated for an Emmy award for their contributions to hurricane coverage for Nightly News. In 2019, her team contributed to NBC's reporting on the U.S. troop withdrawal in Syria, which led the network to a Peabody award.
