Mini bio

  • Anjelica is an actress turned award-winning filmmaker from Austin, Texas who moved Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television. In 2018, she created the first episode of her web-series, The Dark Room, which has gone on to garner attention from notable members of the Final Destination franchise, the Friday the 13th franchise, and Rob Zombie's Firefly trilogy. In 2019, she was accepted into the Horror, Thriller, and Psychological Screenwriting Course on the Sundance Collab website taught by film and television thriller writer, Scott Kosar. In 2024, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Film, Television, and Digital Media. Her UCLA horror thesis film, Twice as Shy, began its festival run in 2024, taking home awards including Best LBTQ Horror Film at Chicago Horror Fest, Best University Short and Best University Filmmaker at Austin Revolution Film Festival, and Best Concept for a Horror Short at Shock-a-Go-Go. She believes the genre of horror can be used as a vessel to break stereotypes and uses monsters as a metaphor for the human struggle.
