Rev Chaney

Chaney was a native of Los Angeles and an art student at the ArtCenter College of Design when he accepted a position in 1936 at Leon Schlesinger Productions, where he worked as an inbetweener and an assistant animator and eventually became an animator in 1940 working for Tex Avery and Bob Clampett. Chaney worked as an animator, a gag man, and story developer for twenty dollars a week. He later left Warner Bros. in 1951 to work for UPA as the the head of ink-and-paint department and was later promoted to assistant production manager.

While most of his work was done at the Avery/Clampett unit, he did work on at least one cartoon for Chuck Jones' unit.
