Lesette Maxwell is a Los Angeles based screenwriter, filmmaker, and actress of Colombian, Italian, and Scottish descent. She is best known for her multi-hyphenate creative work in independent films. Lesette's screenwriting has been recognized with high praise and multiple scores of 8 from The Black List. Previously, Lesette was recognized with the Best First Time Director Award at the 2022 Top Shorts Festival for her short film, Fish. In 2020, Lesette was nominated for Best Actress at the Film in Focus International Film Festival for her lead role in Popped Culture. She has extensive production experience in the campaign and commercial world as well, and joined IATSE Local 871 as a union production coordinator. When she's not working.
