Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada actor Stanley Alto, born in Ottawa, Ontario, grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario with his mother and siblings. His mother, Lillian Alto, was an Ojibway from the Naotkamegwanning First Nation. His father Jack Alto, an Ojibway was from the Wabigoon First Nation.
He started his acting career early at age 13 years old. Discovered by a Harbour Boys Youth Group counselor he worked throughout the summer for his first paid role.
Athletics and school limited acting options through his teen years. As well as a brief football career in the arena football leagues.
Theatre in Thunder Bay had called again 10 years later with the founders of Frankly Scarlet Productions. The stage performance of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" re-ignited his love of acting starring in the role of "Chief Bromden".
Several commercials with Thunder Bay Television and a short film with Rear View Mirror Productions entitled "The Scratch". Dianne Brothers cast him as Officer McCabe in the comedy.
Auditioned and won the role of a swashbuckling Alien in the Webseries 'Space Hock: A Sci-Fi Comedy'. The role of "Murgatroy" was an adventure in makeup, prosthetic and space.
Worked in many roles on the production of "A Nanaboozhoo Tale - Living Too Fast". Puppeteer for the star of the movie Boozhoo. As well as a wrangler for the younger actors. And the voice of Boozhoo as well.
Working with TheyMedia on a series of projects has led to a variety of commercial success.
