Born in Germany, Alex grew up in a theatre makeup artist's family.
His first works were as an editor in documentaries, before he moved on to commercials.
He spent the next 5 years as a freelancing editor and postproduction supervisor.
2006 he had his breakthrough as a commercial director with the film "a.r.t. - jump" who was awarded all over the world.
As a member of the Art Directors Club he participates as a judge at International advertising festivals.
In 2011 he moved on to longer formats and directed "Drive&Seek" which is a branded entertaining shortfilm and interactive online-game.
Alex Feil lives with his wife and two kids in Los Angeles.
