Richard Mulindwa

Mulindwa Richard is a multi-award winning Producer, Writer and Director for his compelling artistic impressions in the productions he has done like; Freedom, The Torture, The Only Son, Hanged For Love, Mistakes Galz Do series and his latest directorial presentation 94 TERROR another perspective on the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. He also won the Achievement in Film and Photography Award at the Young Achievers Awards 2018. He is the CEO of Limit Production Company, one of the most prestigious production companies in Uganda known for mentoring and giving rise to new talents in the acting industry of Uganda, including producing some of the most competitive quality productions in the country that have represented the Uganda Film Industry all over Africa. He started off as an actor in the years 2007 to 2010 in his own established company Limit Production where he was a CEO and could hire various writers and directors to tell his stories. He embarked onto his first directorial journey in 2011 where he wrote, produced and directed CINDY a feature film that became the talk everywhere throughout the year 2011 to 2013, and its through this time that he produced and directed a series titled IT CANT BE that aired on WBS TV. Thereafter he made his second feature directorial HANGED FOR LOVE which earned him seven nominations at the Uganda Film Festival 2014 which included Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Writer, Best Costume, Best Sound and Best Production Design. This achievement fueled him to do more and better, he then wrote, produced and directed another feature film FREEDOM and was hired to direct another co-production feature by TAMZ Productions together with his Limit Production Company, The Only Son earned 8 nominations including Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Sound, Best Actor, Best Production Design, Film Of The Year, Best Feature Film, Best Editing and Post Production, whereas FREEDOM scooped 6 awards including Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Editing/Post Production, Best Costume, Film of the year, and Best Feature film, plus more 3 nominations including Best Sound, Best Screenplay and Best Actor, all this was at Uganda Film Festival 2016, and its through this same year that he wrote, produced and directed Mistakes Galz Do series which was also nominated at Uganda Film Festival 2016 in the categories Best Actor in a TV Series, Best Actress in a TV Series and Best TV Series. He went on to make another feature film THE TORTURE in 2017 which scooped the Best Actor and Best Actress awards at Uganda Film Festival 2017, Best Actress Award at FESTICAB 2017 including nominations like Best Cinematography, Best Feature Film, Best Sound, Best Production Design, Best Editing and Post Production plus Best Costume at Uganda Film Festival 2017, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Writer at Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2018.
