Biography

American professional wrestler from Michigan as Oleg the Usurper. Started his career as Josh Thor in CLASH Wrestling in Michigan in 2008 and continued with that name into 2011, also working for Pro Xcitement Wrestling in Pennsylvania, for ECPW, for NWA On Fire, for ESW and for Beyond Wrestling. Changed his name to Usurper, starting a Viking/barbarian gimmick, then changed it again to Oleg the Usurper. He debuted in that role at the September 29, 2012 Wrestling Is Fun! show, "WiF! Hasta Banana." He competed for WiF!, Wrestling Is Awesome and Wrestling Is Respect, while still competing for Beyond Wrestling. Debuted for CHIKARA as a rudo (heel/bad guy) as a member of Sidney Bakabella's Wrecking Crew, which were part of the Flood, the amalgamation of heel groups out to destroy CHIKARA. He made his in-ring debut at "CHIKARA Quantum of Solace" on June 21, 2014, teaming with Blaster McMassive and Jaka in a loss to the Spectral Envoy (UltraMantis Black, Hallowicked and Frightmare). After the Flood dissolved following Icarus' destroying Deucalion at the Season Finale iPPV "CHIKARA Tomorrow Never Dies" on December 6th, Oleg continued as a member of the Wrecking Crew. Despite this, the fans suddenly started getting behind him. This put him at odds with Bakabella and the Wrecking Crew. UltraMantis Black drafted Oleg to his Challenge of the Immortals team the Arcane Horde with the Batiri (Obariyon and Kodama), after Bakabella had passed up on drafting him. However, Bakabella repeatedly reminded Oleg that he still held Oleg's contract. At "CHIKARA King of Trios 2015 Night II," September 9, 2015, the Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster/Blaster McMassive/Flex Rumblecrunch) faced the Arcane Horde (Oleg and the Batiri). Bakabella was trying to get Oleg to obey him. Oleg tore up the contract and blasted Bakabella with Off With His Head, sending Bakabella's wig flying and eliminating him from CHIKARA. He continues to compete for CHIKARA, as well as for Excellence Pro Wrestling. He has yet to win a title.
