Nominated twice at the Israeli Academy Awards, for two of his recent shorts - LOVE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT (2022) - which won 14 awards in over 30 International Film Festivals, and GIRL WITH A FORK IN A WORLD OF SOUP (2019), which won BEST SHORT FILM at the 35th Jerusalem Film Festival.
His short films DROP and BAMBINA won various awards in over 100 international film festivals.
Winner of screenwriting grants and residencies in Sicily and the USA, Knispel is writing for TV,
and working on his first feature film.
