Biography

Rosalind Iden is known for BBC Sunday-Night Theatre (1950), This Is Your Life (1955) and This Is Show Business (1951). She was previously married to Donald Wolfit.

She was pleased with Ronald Harwood's admiring biography of her late husband, Sir Donald Wolfit, which was authorized by him shortly before his death; Harwood acknowledged how helpful she had been during the writing of it. However, she was rather less pleased, some years later, by Harwood's famous play, "The Dresser", in which one of the two central characters is a caricature of Wolfit. Much later still, she told journalists she had not seen Harwood since its opening.
