Charlotte Vackova

Charlotte Vackova is a Prague-based film director. She holds an MA in Film Directing from Screen Academy Scotland (Edinburgh Napier University) and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Experimental Media. Her graduation short "Liquid Soul" was selected for the Cannes Short Film Corner. Her most successful film to date, the short "Forbidden" (2024), has won 25+ awards at 55+ festivals worldwide, including Best Female Director (Golden Bridge Istanbul Short Film Festival), Best Romance Film (Cannes World Film Festival), and Best Director (Paradise Film Festival). Alongside her own filmmaking, she writes film reviews for Reflex magazine and co-runs the studio Chapelier.
