Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Esteban de la Isla is a Mexican actor with over 12 years of experience in film, television, theater, and commercial work, with professional experience in both Mexico and the United States.

He studied Acting for Film at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, where he developed a significant part of his professional career before returning to Mexico in 2020. His international training and experience have allowed him to build a strong bilingual profile, with the ability to work fluently in both Spanish and English.

He has received two Best Actor awards for his performances in the feature film Barrancas, directed by Juan de la Peña, and the short film LAX.

Throughout his career, he has worked under the direction of filmmakers such as Jorge Ramírez Suárez, Rafa Lara, Rodrigo Prieto, America Young, and Alex Kahuam, among others, building a diverse body of work that includes both independent projects and national and international productions.

His film credits include Back to Lyla (dir. America Young), available on Prime Video in the United States; No Gracias, Ya No Fumo (dir. Diego Toussaint), winner of the Hecho en Jalisco Award at the Guadalajara International Film Festival; Mutaciones (dir. Jorge Ramírez Suárez); and Goya (dir. Pablo Orta). He recently wrapped production on Pecho Frío, the directorial debut of Diego Celis, in which he plays the lead role.

On television, he has appeared in national and international productions including Pancho Villa: Centauro del Norte and Quebranto, both for Disney+; The Manny (El Niñero) for Netflix; and The Mosquito Coast for Apple TV+.

With strong international training, extensive on-camera experience, and fluency in both Spanish and English, Esteban de la Isla stands out for his versatility and ability to move seamlessly across genres, formats, and characters, establishing himself as an actor with strong potential in both the Mexican and international markets.
