Steven Crocker(I)

Born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Steven Crocker became interested in behind-the-scenes features of movies at a very young age. Combining that fascination with his love of skateboarding, Steven began shooting skateboard montages with his friends in high school. When it was time to choose what to go to school for Steven knew he wanted to take his love for skateboard videos to the next level. Being a homebody, he did not want to go away to school which landed him at Old Dominion University in Norfolk. There he was able to become a piece in the ODU Film department puzzle. He graduated from ODU in 2016 and began working at the number one news station in the Hampton Roads market. He also started his own production company, Lightship Productions with fellow ODU grads Victor Collins and Chris Circeo, which produced everything from web videos for small businesses to television shows. Steven stepped away from Lightship in 2024 to focus his energy on using his talents to raise awareness of testicular cancer, including his co-authorship of a children's book titled "What's Wrong with Billy's Balls?" with his wife under his new media company, Daisy Good, LLC..

During his time at WAVY-TV 10/FOX43, he went from part-time production operator operating robotic cameras and teleprompter to morning director where he was nominated as part of a team for a regional Emmy in the Weekend Newscast category. Steven also started two podcasts, "Dumbest in the Room" and "It Takes Balls." "Dumbest in the Room" was an interview podcast to learn about what different people do. "It Takes Balls" is an interview podcast focused on the stories of survivors of testicular cancer and medical providers who treat it.
