Maria Shamkalian is a SAG-AFTRA actor, writer, and filmmaker with extensive on-set experience both in front of and behind the camera. Her award-winning short film - which she wrote, directed, and brought to life - was selected by eleven film festivals and earned honors at four, reflecting her strong storytelling instincts and directorial vision. She also serves as a co-executive producer on the upcoming Hershey film and holds a growing slate of producing credits across a number of genres.
In addition to filmmaking and acting, Maria hosts masterclasses with film industry professionals to help aspiring actors and filmmakers turn their dreams into full-time jobs, runs a network of educational centers for children, organizes annual charity events, and manages a food program that provides free healthy homemade-style meals to over 1500 children from struggling families.
