Luigi Ferri

Award winning composer, born in Salerno, Italy. He started an alternative rock band in 2001 as lead guitarist, composer and lyricist. With them he played all over the country, won several prizes and participated in a talent show on MTV in 2008. In 2010, having attended for one year the Multimedia Composition Biennial Course at the Music Conservatory "G.Martucci" in Salerno, he moved to Rome, where he started composing music for short movies. In 2012 he attended the Master in Film Music at Lizard Academy in Florence, studying, among others, with Giulio Carmassi (Pat Metheny Multi-instrumentalist and Film Composer) and Stefano Caprioli (well known composer for Italian Television). He also studied jazz harmony, piano and composition with Amedeo Tommasi. In July 2013 he started the collaboration with M° Marco Werba, multi-award winning composer widely known for his soundtrack in the movie "Giallo" by Dario Argento. From this collaboration Luigi composed additional music for two movies: "Blood in Bahia's Hot" (published by Warner/Chappell) by Aurelio Grimaldi, and "Fratelli Di Sangue" by Pietro Tamaro. In 2014 he started making music for advertising, scoring "Every Single Moment" (winner of the best original score for advertising at X Jerry Goldsmith Awards) by the Los Angeles based director Ashley Avis, "Tap Coffee" and "Memrise" by the London based director Diana Olifrova.
