Biography

Francis Maxwell grew up in a small town named Clydebank, on the outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Francis juggled playing professional soccer while working as a shipyard engineer. In 2014, after graduating from Whittier College with a degree in Sociology, Francis became a political journalist- with his work featured on MSNBC, CNN, and the Huffington post. In 2016 Francis traveled to Uganda as part of Youtube TV 'More Than A Refugee' campaign, where his short documentary featuring a young refugee soccer player gained critical acclaim. Since then, Francis has gone on to become a prominent activist both in the United States, and abroad. His first short film 'Post No Bills' is set for release in 2022.
