Aggy Tarrant is an actor from Auckland, New Zealand, Aotearoa and is of Maori, Samoan, and Niuean descent. He is a 2012 graduate of the prestigious Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School.
Following his training, Tarrant appeared in a range of successful television series, including Tatau (2015), When We Go to War (2015), 800 Words (2015), Filthy Rich (2016), Shortland Street (2018), and SeaChange (2019).
He made his feature film debut in The Other Side of Heaven 2: Fire of Faith (2019,) before appearing in Danis Goulet's Night Raiders (2021)
In 2021, Tarrant was cast as a series lead in NCIS: Hawai'i (2021), which ran for three seasons. He later appeared as Valandil in the Emmy-nominated series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022). Tarrant stars alongside Tim Meadows and Harriet Dyer in CBS's DMV (2025). SGT. Haane is Tarrant's most recent film (2026) in which he plays the lead role of Haane Manahi by film maker Tearepa Kahi.
