Javan Hamilton (rhyming with "The Don") is an award-winning media producer and motion designer born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He developed a passion for storytelling early by writing, designing visuals, arranging music and producing for television while maintaining strong academic performance and graduating summa cum laude.
Throughout his childhood, Hamilton created music, visual art, and video parodies inspired by favorites such as I Love the '80s (2002), Press Your Luck (1983), and Flip (1970), a creative drive that occasionally came at the expense of his grades in middle school.
He began his professional career in local television in 2014 with "BRCC Today," a public-access talk show for Baton Rouge Community College. After a series of freelance projects in 2015, he became an integral part of MyScene TV (2007), where he served in multiple roles including broadcast designer, co-executive producer, feature journalist and later host.
Until March 2018, Hamilton worked as a Production Assistant at NBC/Fox affiliates WVLA Local 33/WGMB Fox 44 (Nexstar Media Group), where his design work and feature stories aired across all newscasts. He later spent four years in Houston, Texas, hosting the 12-part web series This Is Houston (2018) for Houston Live TV Network and producing "The Don Davis Real Estate Show" on YouTube.
He has since continued producing content for a range of organizations, and was awarded a 2021 Silver Telly Award for "MyScene TV" (Television - Craft: Use of Live Video / Broadcast).
Now based in the Mid-Atlantic United States, Hamilton launched The Travel Series on YouTube in 2023, including "Birdwatching," "Trainspotting" and "Vibes," which explore air and rail travel through immersive tours and ambient video experiences.
