Biography

David Soncin is an Australian Actor, best known for his portrayal of Simon in the feature film River (2015), (starring Rossif Sutherland, directed by Jamie M. Dagg), and Paolo in the highly popular Australian television series, Love Child (2014).

Soncin is no stranger within the Sydney Theatre scene, working with companies such as Ensemble Theatre, Sport for Jove, Bell Shakespeare and Red Line Productions. His most prominent role so far has been Marco, in Arthur Miller's, A View from the Bridge. Which earned him a Nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor at the 2017 Glugs Awards.

David is a proud graduate of Queensland University of Technology. Graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting).

Prior to actor training, David worked as an untrained lighting and sound technician for a casino illusion show for two and half years. He used his earnings to make short films and eventually get him to Brisbane.
