His career began in music as a professional guitarist and recording studio owner before an opportunity to create a narrative-driven music video led him into filmmaking. The project earned recognition at the Cannes Short Film Festival and launched a career behind the camera.
Varville is the founder of RSVP FILMS and studio head of HOLLYWEIRD PICTURES(TM), where he develops original psychological thrillers and elevated horror. Over the course of his career, he has worked across nearly every aspect of production, including writing, directing, producing, cinematography, editing, and sound design, developing a reputation for combining technical craftsmanship with emotionally driven storytelling.
In 2026, Varville received three Emmy® Awards for his work on the San Diego Film Awards broadcast, earning honors for Cinematography, Lighting Design, and Producer for Best Overall Show. His producing credits include Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence, and he is currently writing and directing the feature films AREA 1 and DEATHBED, the first original productions under the HOLLYWEIRD PICTURES(TM) banner.
