Brian Cutter(I)

After a few years in front of the camera, Brian has decided that his best role is behind it. During the pandemic lockdowns, he enrolled in film school at Full Sail University and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Digital Cinematography on Star Wars Day (May the 4th) of 2023. This is especially significant as Star Wars was the first film he ever saw in theaters and made him want to be in the film industry. If you ask him which Star Wars it was that he first saw, he'll tell you "When I saw it in theaters, there was only ONE Star Wars". During film school he produced a horror short, Screen Test, which he co-wrote with author Leigh Grissom. The short was based on one of her short stories and features a young actor who goes in for an audition/screen test and finds out exactly how high a price she must pay for fame and fortune. He also produced a documentary short called "Every Kind of History", about the history of Hampton, Virginia (where he and his studio are based) and contributions from and impact on the African-American community as told through the stories of African-Americans living there. Finally, he produced and directed an ad campaign for a local hairdresser and cosmetologist that pokes fun at monster-hunter-style "reality" shows. Also during the pandemic, he became heavily involved in a series of Zoom broadcast table reads of other screenwriters' scripts, and editing them into feature films complete with special effects, such as Peter Feuchtwanger's "Seldon Seen", an unconventional rom-com about young love hindered by mental illness and his own script, Star Wars: Underground, about three disparate groups teaming up to smuggle political dissidents off of Coruscant in the wake of the rise of the Empire. He is also an avid photographer and uses his video camera to pull amazing stills that capture the world around us. In late 2023, he is working on restructuring his first two films, Screen Test and Every Kind of History, as he has progressed further in his post-production skills and wanted those two films especially to reflect that. They will be released shortly on the HERC Studios YouTube channel and Vimeo pages. In 2024, he hopes to begin shooting his superhero comedy series, Secret.
