- Hernan Lopez is the Founder and former CEO of the critically acclaimed podcast publisher Wondery, acquired by Amazon in 2021. Hernan launched Wondery in 2016, and it quickly became known for experiential narrative podcasts like Gladiator, Dirty John, Hollywood & Crime, Business Wars, Joe Exotic, and The Shrink Next Door. Many of Wondery's top podcasts have been adapted for TV. Hernan was the executive producer of several of these shows, including WeCrashed, Dying for Sex, and Dr Death.
Today, Hernan is the Co-Founder of Danvas, a company that brings digital art into the real world through specialty LED displays. The mission of Danvas is to empower digital artists to grow their practice, and collectors to acquire more innovative art.
Lopez is also the Founder and Chairperson of The Hernan Lopez Family Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to increase diversity in leadership by offering grants, education, and mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs from historically marginalized communities.
Hernan has been a featured speaker at Cannes Lions, Promax, CES, SXSW, and Natpe, is a founding member of The Podcast Academy, a board member of the Latino Donor Collaborative, and a prior board member of GLAAD.
He moved to Miami from his home country Argentina in 1997, earned an MBA from the University of Miami, and now resides in Los Angeles with his family.
