Carrie Strahle

Carrie Strahle pushes the art of makeup to create visions beyond beauty and fashion. Her artistry provides the collaboration between models, designers, artists, photographers and videographers. Carrie builds concepts and designs to produce stunning visual images, subtle and stunning, alluring and challenging. Carrie brings experience from behind the kit and in front of the camera. Over twenty years ago, she began with Lancôme Cosmetics as regional makeup artist throughout the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia (B.S. Food Marketing/minor in Japanese), then lived for several years in Tokyo and Los Angeles. She taught makeup artistry at Takayama Beauty School in Tokyo and worked as on-air talent for Japanese television. Her work as a fashion model for runway and print in the Pacific Rim gives her extraordinary insight and experience to bring together models and photographers to achieve a shared artistic vision. Tokyo, Los Angeles, & Portland ... these cities infuse Carrie's skills and talents for makeup artistry beyond the commonplace, creating an appetite for innovative images. In recent years, Carrie has stepped forward to create project concept, art design, wardrobe and production management of creative shoots. She won't click the shutter nor pose for the camera, but she can handle everything in between. Because in Portland... that's just what you gotta do. And Carrie Strahle can really do it.
