Biography

Born and raised in Philadelphia, John Salandria has been performing almost from day one. He toured internationally with the Archdiocesan Boys Choir for five years before training at America's oldest theatre, the Walnut Street Theatre, for three. After working extensively in Philadelphia and Off-Broadway in New York, John made the move to Hollywood, where he earned his MFA at the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio Conservatory.

Since then, he has built a steady career across theater and film, appearing in the American premiere of Flare Path and on acclaimed television series including Animal Kingdom and Mistresses. His feature film credits include a lead role in Sweet Taste of Souls and in Netflix's Halloween anthology Don't Watch This (2019).

A writer and director as well as an actor, John helmed his own short film and is currently developing his first feature. In December 2024, he was honored with Best Actor at the Indie Shorts Fest for his lead performance in The Vacuum Salesman.
