Troy Richardson isn't a common songwriter. He's known for his ability to twist a phrase, infusing sarcasm and humor in equal doses to serious observations. Growing up, Richardson spent many summers in South Dakota. Compared to his hometown of Minneapolis, it felt like the wild west. Even though he'd go on to spend most of his time playing in rock bands, he never forgot the vibe of those truck stops and diners that cranked up classic '70s country. Inspired by that experience and the southern rock of the 1980s, which blended elements of every style, he formed the band TruckerBomb to bridge alt-country and Americana with alternative and hard rock.

Troy Richardson graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in songwriting and electric bass as his principal instrument. He does session work as a songwriter, vocalist, bassist, and acoustic guitarist. His first acting job was in a Budweiser ad that ran for years in the Canadian market, which introduced him to the film and commercial scene in Boston before he relocated to Los Angeles.
