Biography

Matt Walker is a Canadian-American actor from Toronto. He trained at Juilliard before enrolling at Harvard, where he studied neurobiology. Matt made his NYC debut in The Play that Goes Wrong, earning a 2019 Lucille Lortel nomination for Best Featured Actor. He has since recurred on HBO’s The Gilded Age and starred Off-Broadway in Spare Parts at Theatre Row and Love+Science at New York City Center.

Alongside his acting career, Matt earned his Ph.D. in genetics at Columbia University as a National Science Foundation Fellow. He is the co-founder and CEO of Kindred Companion Sciences, where he invented the first gene-edited dogs developed for people with allergies, using CRISPR to prevent production of the major dog allergen.
