Riji Raja

Riji Raja is a New York-based SAG Eligible actor whose work is shaped by a lived history of resilience, migration, and emotional depth. Born in Kuwait to Indian parents and displaced during the Gulf War, she grew up between cultures, carrying a perspective that informs her grounded, layered performances. After surviving a two-year period of homelessness in Los Angeles, Riji rebuilt her life on her own terms, bringing that raw truth into her storytelling as an actor and writer. Her work centers themes of identity, reinvention, and the quiet strength of women navigating complex worlds. Riji is drawn to character-driven drama, psychological tension, and intimate, human stories - roles that allow her to bring vulnerability, intelligence, and lived experience to the screen. She now splits her time between New York and Los Angeles as she develops her body of work across film and television.
