  • Nohely Floritza Barahona is a cinematographer, director and colorist from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Graduated as Director of Photography from the International School of Film and Television (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. Also she has a Degree in Communication and Advertising with a specialization in audiovisual production. She began her career worked as assistant director and script supervisor for the films: A place in the Caribbean (2017), El Paletero (2016) and Morazán (2017). She has been part of the Honduras production team for Vice-HBO (2013). Cinematographer of the short film "Isabel" by Sara Shazli winner of the "Cinema of Tomorrow" at the Cairo Film Festival in 2020. Nohely participated as a director and cinematographer in Stories of a Generation, a documentary series produced by Stand by Me Productions, set for Netflix global release in December 2021. Among some short films to highlight as a cinematographer and colorist are: Pick up the wind ,Ana Lucía, I am writing to you from Angola and Captive some of them are currently on diverses film festivals. Member and collaborator of the Collective of Honduran Filmmakers and teacher of the Film School "Una Mirada Propia" in Honduras. She works as a Director of Photography, equally comfortable in advertising, documentary, short films, videoclips and any kind of creative projects.
