Savvas D. Michael is a British-Cypriot writer and director renowned for his bold, stylized storytelling and authentic portrayals of working-class life. Born and raised in London, his films often explore themes of crime, morality, identity, and redemption, brought to life through a raw and uncompromising voice.

Savvas has written and directed eight feature films, including Original Gangster, The Bezonians, Hitmen, and Smoking Guns, the latter of which won the prestigious Grand Jury Prize at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. The Bezonians received widespread acclaim, earning multiple awards and further establishing Savvas as a distinctive voice in the crime genre.

Savvas has also begun creating children’s films under the name Michael Saint, a professional pseudonym he uses to keep his younger audiences safely within age-appropriate work. This thoughtful separation allows families and children to enjoy his lighter, imaginative stories without being exposed to the more mature and often violent themes of his adult films.
