- Mark Katzman is the screenwriter of the film, file2012, commissioned by A35 Media (unproduced, 2008). He has two spec screenplays available for production. M7 - The Battle For the Word, adapted from his novel, M7 (Spaceboy Books, 2024) and The Hunting Club (2026). Katzman is the author of four novels, I Russian Bride (2011), Playdate (Civil Coping Mechanisms, 2015-18, Out of Print) which has a blurb from the late author, Paul Auster, a long-standing supporter of his work. He has published two artists books, INoN (1990) and Along the Way (1990), which are held in various museum and Special and Rare Book Collections, including MoMA. He is also a playwright. His play, Henny & Harry, was the recipient of the Plays in Progress Award from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Mo., (2014) with a staged reading, and a finalist in both the Playwrights Foundation in San Francisco (2015) and the Jewish Plays Festival in New York (2015) for Henny & Harry (unproduced). Several other plays have all had staged readings. He was a member of DownEast Arts Center Playwrights group in NY (2001-04)(staged reading of the play, Star 7). In 2012 Katzman directed his play, Crisscross, for four performances during the Kansas City Fringe Festival at the Metropolitan Playwrights Theatre, where he was a member of their Playwrights Group in Kansas City (2011-13). Katzman is co-founder and editor of the online journal, athensuncharted, on Instagram and Facebook (2016-), which focuses on the arts and cultural community in Athens and Atlanta, Georgia. He is also an interviewer with over 20 published interviews, including Timothy Leary, Stanley Kunitz, Robyn Hitchcock, William Orbit, William Bronk, John Gurche, among others.
