Anthony Ballios was born in Detroit, Michigan, and is of Macedonian descent with family still residing in Skopje, Macedonia. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. While there he had a passion for baseball and tried out for the team as a walk on for two consecutive years. Former Detroit Tiger Bill Freehan was the coach of the Wolverines at the time.
Anthony is inspired by the amazingly talented actor Robert De Niro who he auditioned to play a younger version of in the film Stone. He did not get the part, but it is an experience he will never forget. This was his first audition for a Hollywood feature film.
He was part of a 2022 Chevrolet Suburban global ad campaign with the video advertisement still accessible via various forms of social media. Anthony continues to pursue commercial and theatrical roles. In addition, he has modeled for the likes of the global body care powerhouse Aveda and hip fashion trailblazer founded in Detroit, Michigan, Carhartt.
